AOL wants to become a content company?

AOL has long been known as the company that provided dial-up internet access in the US market.

The company has been working hard on changing the core of their business. The aim has been to generate revenues through online advertising.

AOL CEO Tim Armstrong has now stated that they have been hiring a lot of new writers as they aim to boost their content offerings.

The company now has over 3,000 writers and they are expanding gradually. This strategy could work for them in the long run as they are moving away from complicated markets like search and internet services.

Armstrong further said that they have been working hard on a new product/service that would be ready for launch in the coming months.
