Audi India to assemble more models locally to increase sales
Audi has revealed that they are aiming at 50% growth this year and next in the Indian market.
And to achieve that they would assemble more models in the coming time.
Audi has been performing well in the Indian market. The company said: “Our target is to grow by over 50 per cent both in this year and 2010. In 2008, we sold around 1,050 units in India and this year our target is to sell 1,600 units and then continue the momentum next year.”
Audi India already have around seven models on sale in India. Only two of these are being assembled locally.
They might start assembling more to lower their costs and price them more competitively.
