Nissan announces V platform for small cars
Japanese automaker Nissan is working on a brand new platform named V for small cars that would be launched in markets like China, India and Thailand.
The company has been reportedly working on this new platform for their new generation cars since 2005.
A Nissan representative said: “Europe can wait. India cannot.”
V platform is designed for Versatility and the aim is to make low cost cars manufactured using components that can be ordered locally.
The company is aiming to sell a million cars on this platform per year from 2013.
