Premier to launch Rio small car in India!
Premier is mostly known for their Padmini model which was/is popularly called Fiat here in India.
Premier Padmini was launched in partnership with Fiat but people still associate it as a Fiat car!
The company is now on the verge of making a comeback with a new car named Rio.
Premier Rio would be a compact sports utility vehicle that would be priced at around Rs. 5.5 lakhs.
The company spoke about this new model: “We will be targeting fun-loving small families for their multi-purpose use with Rio. It is placed between the mid-sized passenger car and larger utility vehicles.”
It would be powered with a BS-III certified 1489cc turbo diesel engine based on Peugeot technology.
