Windows 7 launch much better compared to Vista for Microsoft
NPD has revealed that the initial sales of Windows 7 are much better than that of Windows Vista.
Microsoft launched Windows 7 last month. Reviews and customer reaction is mostly positive.
Industry sources say that Windows 7 sales were 234% higher than Vista in the initial days of launch.
Market analyst Stephen Baker said: “I would call it pretty good but I wouldn’t call it great.”
Baker added: “The fact of the matter is that prior to the launch, there were a lot of operating systems out there. When Vista launched, you didn’t see a lot of Windows Millennium PCs. Windows 7 will be more of a long haul.”
