Auto Expo 2010: Maruti Suzuki showcases Concept rIII MPV
Maruti Suzuki India showcased a new concept model named Concept rIII.
Concept rIII is a multi purpose vehicle which could be launched in the Indian market in the coming years.
Suzuki spoke about this concept car: “Concept rIII carries forward the aggressive Suzuki design philosophy seen in recent exciting bestsellers such as Swift, Ritz, A star and SX4… It is a truly Indian concept car, designed and developed in India by a young team of Maruti Suzuki designers.”
Maruti has largely been a small car company in India. They have tried entering into the premium sedan and SUV markets but have largely been unsuccessful.
However, there is little competition for Maruti in the small car market. The company recently created a new record by selling 1 lakh cars in a single month.
