NIIT to invest Rs. 20 crores to setup 85 training centers

NIIT is planning on an expansion spree. The company is going to invest Rs. 20 crores in setting up 85 new training centers.

NIIT Chief Executive Officer Vijay Thadani said on this development: “Out of the 85, 60 would be opened in India and rest in China and in other locations.”

They started working on this plan around six months ago and are also planning to upgrade some of their existing centers around the country.

Impressively, NIIT already has around 3,500 learning centers in 31 countries. More than 700 of these are located in India.

This news comes at a time when they have collaborated with US based tech giants Sun Microsystems to provide specialized courses in Sun technologies including Java and Solaris.
