Samsung aims at selling one lakh flat panel TVs this year
South Korean tech giant Samsung is a big player in the Indian market and they have set themselves the aim of selling at least 1 lakh units of their flat panel television sets in the Indian market.
This target would be good enough to give them a 50% of the market share in this segment in the Indian market.
Samsung Deputy Managing Director R Zutshi said in a statement on their plans: e wish to develop the LCD market in India and hope to sell about 1,00,000 sets this year.”
The company also launched their new ‘Bordeaux’ LCD range in India.
Samsung is due to commence manufacturing LCD television in its Noida CTV facility from the third quarter of this year. This would help the cut costs and launch price competitive products here in India.
Zutsi added: “The LCD panels will be imported from South Korea and assembled in Noida by the end of June.”
