Mahindra Logan is now the cheapest sedan in the Indian market!
Mahindra & Mahindra recently acquired the remaining stake from their joint venture with Renault. The company promised that they would take steps to ensure that their Logan sedan remains competitive in the Indian market.
The company has taken the first major step by drastically reducing the price of the car.
Mahindra Logan prices have been dropped by 24,000-80,000 rupees. The company said that they want to deliver an excellent value for money product to their customers.
This price cut practically make Mahindra Logan the cheapest sedan in the Indian market.
Mahindra said: “There was a lot of uncertainty about the future of the Logan in the minds of our dealers and customers. We wanted to give a fresh momentum to the Logan through a reduction in prices. The rationalization of the prices will provide a better value proposition for our target segment who had found the car too expensive. We have an 18-month period to refresh the product and we are working on various alternatives.”
It remains to be seen if this price cut can now boost the sales of this model which is struggling to compete against Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and Tata Indigo in the domestic market.
