Maruti Suzuki India launches the new Wagon R
Maruti Suzuki India has finally launched the brand new edition of their Wagon R hatchback.
The company has priced it very aggressively with an introductory price tag starting at Rs. 3.28 lakhs. The higher end model is priced at Rs. 3.81 lakhs.
Maruti admitted that the aggressive pricing could hurt the sales of their other models in this price range though they are confident that the improved sales of the new edition would make up for it.

The company said: “The biggest challenge would be to make sure there is no cannibalization across closely priced models. Our experience is that even if there is 5-7 per cent cannibalization, the overall volumes will increase.”
Maruti dominates the small car hatchback market in India with a wide variety of models including Ritz, Swift, Alto, A-Star and Zen Estilo.
