Blue Dart add two Boeing 757-200 freighters to their fleet

The Blue Dart Aviation Express has announced that they are indicting two Boeing 757-200 freighters into its air express fleet.

This new addition would enhance the availability of higher aircraft volumes and payload in the Indian market. It would also help them provide more charter options.

These new planes added to the company’s fleet have a speed range of 150 kmph to 5,000 kmph and are twice the size of the Boeing 737 converted freighters they are using now.

The company also has an agreement with European Air Transport Services which enables them to use the latter’s aircraft for dedicated domestic air services.

Interestingly, the new crafts added to their fleet would also enable them to carry livestock as they have temperature controls on board. Blue Dart’s existing fleet lacked that option.
