Metro coming to Gurgaon
The Haryana Government has finally given its formal approval to the extension of Delhi Metro to Gurgaon.
They have also confirmed that they would be sharing 80 per cent of the total cost of the Rs 688-crore Metro link project.
The state cabinet meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and it cleared the project for extension of Delhi Metro till the city centre in sector 29 from the Qutab Minar.
This project is expected to be complete within the next four years before the Commonwealth Games begins in the capital city.
The expenses would be shared by the Central and State government. Haryana would be contributing Rs 456 crore to this project.
The state government has also pledged to provide land for the project.
