Kinetic Motor Company collaborates with Sanyang Industry
Indian two-wheeler manufacturing giants Kinetic Motor Company has announced a tie-up with the Taiwanese two-wheeler major, Sanyang Industry Co Ltd. the two companies plan to introduce advanced technologies in the motorcycle and scooter market in India.
Sanyang Industry already has three production hubs in Taiwan, China and Vietnam and they export vehicles to all over the world including many countries in the US, Europe, Australia and Africa.
Kinetic is expected to benefit a lot from this deal as they have ended their collaboration with Honda over transfers of technology. The two companies are also considering other possibilities like sourcing of components, aggregates, or entire vehicles from India.
India could become a potential base for vehicle manufacturing for the company for their export market considering the low-cost outlook for development of products here. SYM vice-chairman Taka Huang said in a statement about their plans: “We plan to bring to India our advanced technology and hope the customers here will receive them as well as other countries have. Our team is impressed with Kinetic’s facilities, distribution network, and management and we are looking forward to working together”.
Kinetic Motor Company chairperson Arun Firodia added: “This alliance will enable us to expand our business in India as well as other countries. Kinetic has introduced superior technology to the Indian market over the last two decades through its global tie-ups and has always been appreciated by market. We look forward to bringing out the best products with new generation engine for the Indian masses through this technical collaboration with SYM.”
