Hyundai Getz set to be discontinued in India
Hyundai India has apparently decided that they are going to discontinue their Getz premium hatchback model which has not been selling well in the recent times.
The company is doing well with their other offering in the same segment i20. The focus would shift entirely to this model.
Hyundai Getz performed well when it was launched but it took a major hit when Maruti launched their Swift model.
Maruti Suzuki Swift continue to sell in large number. The diesel model is a major success in India.
Hyundai has sold just around 1600 units of Getz in 2010. Swift sells around 10,000 units in a month in comparison!
