Toyota Etios to go on sale in January 2011 in India
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that they would launch their next model Etios in December this year.
Toyota Etios would go on sale in January 2011. They are aiming to start mass production before December begins.
Etios is likely to be priced at around Rs. 5 lakhs for the hatchback model. A sedan edition is also planned for launch.
In fact, Toyota has not revealed yet which edition would go on sale first in the Indian market.
Etios would be the first model from the company for the mass market. With Etios they would compete with some of the most popular models in the market including the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i10 and Tata Indica.
They also face competition from the recently launched model in the same price segment: Ford Figo, Chevrolet Beat, Volkswagen Polo and Nissan Micra.
