Telcordia Technologies aims to expand in India
Yet another MNC is working on establishing their presence in the Indian market. Telecommunications network software and services provider Telcordia Technologies has said that they are very much interested in India and are planning to make its research and development centre in Chennai a hub for catering to the South Asian market.
The company inaugurated their Chennai centre, which was inaugurated on Monday by Union Communications and Information Technology Minister Dayanidhi Maran.
It is the first establishment of its kind for the company outside of the US and is based at Tidel Park. The company would be employing around 500 workers here. Telcordia added in a statement that they see tremendous growth potential in the Indian market and are planning to collaborate with several Indian IT firms, including Wipro and Accenture.
