David Beckham: Motorola’s global brand ambassador
Motorola has signed on soccer superstar David Beckham to be their global brand ambassador. Beckham is the captain of the England national team and plays for Spanish Real Madrid club.
The deal would last a period of three years and would involve major activities across Asian countries. Motorola is also aiming at bring Beckham related content to their mobile phones like screensavers and wallpapers.
The deal with Motorola is effective immediately and David Beckham would be carrying Motorola products during the ongoing Fifa World Cup tournament. Motorola mobile devices VP retail marketing Jeremy Dale spoke about this new deal with the sports star: “We are very excited about this collaboration for ourselves, our customers and our consumers. David Beckham is a global icon and we look forward to working with him across a range of projects. In particular, we’re delighted that he’ll be using his immense popularity to help promote (MOTO) RED.”
