Tata Motors gets a mega order from Congo for buses
Indian automaker Tata Motors has received a mega order worth Rs 55 crore from Congo. The project would help the nation revamp the urban transport system of their capital city of Kinshasa.
The company has already delivered as many as 228 buses to the country. This order was processed under the Indian government’s line of credit (LoC) to Congo through the Exim Bank.
Tata Motors is also planning to setup a complete services network in Kinshasa to support these operations. They are also doing well with other export markets as the company exported over 6,000 buses in the financial year 2005-6.
The company exports their buses to markets like Africa, West Asia, Russia, Ukraine, Malaysia and the SAARC nations.
