State Bank of India promoting Debit cards in small cities in India
State Bank of India is working hard on promoting the Debit cards in the small cities in India and has announced the ‘Cash Back Programme’ in selected cities.
The largest bank in the Indian market would be launching its ‘Cash Back Programme’ in Chandigarh later today with the aim of getting more people to use Debit Cards for transactions.
This scheme would enable the customers to get back the 3 per cent, 4 per cent, 5 per cent and 6 per cent or maximum of Rs 10,000 on the transaction made through the ATM cum Debit cards.
General Manager State Bank of India, SS Sharma said in a statement that research has shown that Debit Cards have become increasingly popular in the metro cities and this is the right time to promote them to the people living in smaller cities.
