Apple to open another retail store in Japan
iPod maker Apple Computers is planning to establish another retail store in the Japanese market. It would be their seventh such retail store in this Asian market.
This store is planned for Sapporo, Hokkaido and is scheduled to open this coming Saturday. This 330-square-metre store will be company’s first one in the northern region of Japan.
Apple already has two stores in Tokyo and one each in Osaka, Nagoya, Sendai and Fukuoka.
They are also aiming to expand their retail chain store around the world as the company is scheduled to open ten more retail stores outside the US this year. Apple revealed these plans during its financial analysts call when it revealed its second quarter 2006 financial results.
