KDDI collaborates with BT Group
Japanese telecom company KDDI has said that they are collaborating with Britain’s BT Group. The two companies are forming a joint venture and they would be providing services related to communication networks to Japanese companies with operations around the world.
KDDI would be combining their services with BT’s networks in regions where they do not have sufficient resources. The aim is to help Japanese companies to connect to their headquarters located back home from international markets like Europe.
The venture would see an equal partnership from the two companies and would begin on August 1. Andy Greene, chief executive of BT Global Services spoke on these new initiatives: “We are already having conversations with Japanese corporations about this type of outsourcing deal for their European operations or their Asian operations.”
He further added: “But they, like everybody else, need to do this on an enterprise-wide basis.”
