Symantec announces job cuts in certain divisions
Security application developers Symantec have said that they are reshaping its push into the network and gateway security business.
Symantec is also reducing its investment in some of their security appliances. And this includes laying off around 80 employees.
This strategy would affect their SGS (Symantec Gateway Security) appliances as well as the SNS (Symantec Network Security) 7100 and the SGS Advanced Manager 3.0 appliances.
The company said in a statement on these new developments: “Symantec will continue to develop the key content technologies that these appliances leverage. However, we have changed our strategy on how we’ll deliver these technologies. We will pursue a different hardware solution—instead of designing the hardware ourselves, we’ll look to partners to help us do that.”
Symantec added: “This change in investment strategy will allow us to develop best-of-breed solutions that meet the complex needs of today’s businesses.”

B) Since a long time I have
proofs that the CIA outsourced
privacy data intrusion to Symantec.
