Nokia sues two Chinese companies for counterfeiting
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has said that they are suing two Chinese competitors in its first Chinese legal action.
Nokia claims that these two companies have been copying their products, which was illegal. These two companies are Shenzhen Telsda Mobile Communication Industry Development Co. and Song Xun Da Zhong Ke Electronic Shenzhen.
Nokia has asked the courts to force these two companies to stop making and selling models that allegedly infringe on their designs and models. The company is also asking for $62,500 in damages.
China happens to be Nokia’s largest mobile phone market now and this lawsuit could be just the first one for the company to protect their intellectual rights in the country.
