Charles Fraenkl: AOL Germany has several potential buyers
AOL Germany’s chief executive Charles Fraenkl said in a statement that they have received offers from several potential buyers for the company’s German division.
Charles Fraenkl said in a statement to Reuters news service: “There are a number of bidders.” However, he declined to give out any more details.
He however said that they would go ahead with a deal when the right buyer comes with the right bid.
AOL’s parent division Time Warner has said that they are considering overhauling their European operations and this might include selling off several units.
Some of the possible parties interested in AOL Germany are rumored to be Telecom Italia, Versatel, freenet.de and United Internet.
