General Motors to offer cars on zero-percent financing

The discount season is back in the United States as General Motors has announced their plans to offer zero financing on several of their popular models to clear old stocks.

These finance options would be offered for a period of six years and would be offered on models from its Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac and GMC brands.

The sales for the company are hitting a rock bottom as the company was offering similar deals in the current month last year. GM said that the sales are expected to be as much as 30% down compared to last year.

GM however clarified that they have no plans to offer employee-pricing schemes, which boosted sales last year but resulted in falling profits.
