Mobile service providers 3 chooses Yahoo! as partners
UK-based mobile phone Company 3 has chosen Yahoo! to be their partners in providing value added services to their customers.
Mobile companies are working hard on providing these additional services to consumers for extra revenues as earnings from telephony services have reached a saturation point.
Hutchinson Whampoa owned 3 said that this partnership would enable them to offer services ranging from web access to e-mail to instant messaging to their customers.
Christian Salbaing, 3’s European managing director said in a statement on this new development: “This relationship isn’t just about us buying more content to put on our portal, its about a deep engagement between our two companies to bring some of the world’s most popular Internet services and content to 3’s networks.”
