GM Daewoo Auto & Technology sales are up as well
GM Daewoo Auto & Technology has said in a statement that its June auto sales increased 34% on year. The sales figure touched an impressive 126,616 units from 94,727 units. The company has gained from strong demands from the domestic market and increased exports.
The domestic sales were up by around 8.2% on year as the company gained from the launch of its new model Tosca which is a midsize sedan.
The exports for the company were even higher with an improvement of around 37% from a year ago to 116,492 units.
GM Daewoo’s chief executive Nick Reilly spoke about these improved sales figures for the company: “GM Daewoo will benefit in the second half from the roll out of the Tosca and Winstorm in global markets as well as our new family of diesel engines. As a result, we anticipate continued growth in sales in the domestic and global markets.”
The company also recently launched its first sport-utility vehicle Winstorm. This should further boost their sales in this quarter.
