BMW, Porsche show improved sales in the US market
Luxury carmakers BMW, Porsche and Mercedes Benz have reported improved sales in the US market for the month of June.
This is interesting considering the general consumer is now preferring to buy fuel efficient cars and this has resulted in poor sales for domestic players like GM and Ford.
Honda, Toyota and Nissan are the companies, which are increasingly doing well in the US market, but this news report confirms that the rich and famous in US does not get easily worried about high fuel bills.
Autodata Corp. said in a statement that the sales for the 15 European brands in the U.S. rose 0.5 percent from a year earlier. BMW alone reported that its sales in the region were up by around 2.7 percent in June. It gained from improved demand of their recently launched 3-Series sedan.
