AMD might miss sales expectations
Microprocessor Company AMD (Advanced Micro Devices Inc.) has said that they are now expecting to miss second-quarter sales expectations.
The company said that they are now expecting the sales to be down 9 percent from the first quarter. They had earlier said that the sales growth would be flat or a little bit down.
AMD is suffering from low sales of entry-level and mainstream mobile and desktop processors and with Intel on offensive; they have more than enough reasons to worry about.
The company estimated sales in the quarter of about $1.22 billion, which is below the market expectations of $1.31 billion.
