Rajiv Dutta to head PayPal, Alex Kazim to head Skype
EBay has finally announced the appointments of new heads of their PayPal and Skype divisions. The world’s largest ecommerce retailer has named Rajiv Dutta as the new president of its PayPal e-commerce payment service. He replaces Jeff Jordan who is leaving the company for personal interests.
The company also announced the replacement of Dutta at their Skype division. Alex Kazim, currently the vice president of products at Skype would become the new president of the Skype Internet telephone service.
Jordon was the driving force at PayPal and helped double its user base in the last two years. EBay on their part are focusing on these two divisions for driving growth and sales at the company. With Google becoming a potential competitor in the online payment market, they need all the brilliance of these individuals.
Market analysts however are not impressed at Dutta’s appointment as the head of PayPal since he was just recently appointed the head at the Skype division. Experts believe that this move can raise some concerns about EBay’s operational and future strategy.
