Jet Airways to launch Amritsar-London service from August 4
India’s largest private sector airline company Jet Airways has announced that they are launching a new Amritsar-London service from August 4.
This announcement came after a failed bid to take over the rivals Air Sahara which has now entered into legal hassles.
This new flight would operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1335 hours. Jet Airways would be using a leased Airbus A-330, with 30 business class seats and 196 in the economy on this new route.
The company is aiming to tap the growing demand from the Punjab sector for flights to UK. Rivals Air India is already catering to this market.
Jet Airways also has plans to launch a new Delhi-Singapore flight from September 6. They would be using a Boeing 737-800 plane on this route.
