Google acquires Measure Map from Adaptive Path
Search engine giants Google have announced that they have acquired Measure Map, an online analytic tool from the firm Adaptive Path. The tool specializes in monitoring statistics for online blogs for the users worldwide.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed to the media though the companies announced that Jeff Veen, an Adaptive Path founder and product director for Measure Map would now be working for the search engine company.
The move can be significant for the company as they are expanding the scope of their Google Analytic service, which they offer for free to low usage customers for monitoring their web statistics.
Jeff Veen said in a statement on this deal: “Today, as the Measure Map team joins Google, our mission remains the same: to build the best possible user experience so people can understand and appreciate the effect their blogs — their words and ideas — can have.”
