DLF Group purchases 4,900 acres of land on the outskirts of Kolkata
DLF Group has done a real estate deal, which the market believes is the largest of its kind for the West Bengal state. The real estate giants have purchased 4,900 acres of land on the outskirts of Kolkata.
The deal is worth a massive Rs 2,713 crore. DLF successfully managed to win the bid in the tender floated by the Kolkata Municipal Development Authority.
The company is planning to turn this plot situated in Dankuni into a township-cum-industrial hub. DLF said that they would earmark 3,900 acres of land for township development and the rest of the property would be used for industrial development.
Impressively, the government had expected to earn around Rs 1,500 crore in this tender. DLF won with their bid ahead of competitors including Emar, Ambuja and Suncity.
