Dell reports improved profits on Non-US sales
World’s largest manufacturer of personal computers, Dell has reported improved profits in the most recent quarter. The company has benefited a lot from the sales in their non-US markets and is increasing their presence worldwide.
The profits for the company were up by a better than expected 52 percent. However, the forecast for the next current quarter was lower than the market expectations leading to a drop in the company’s stock price in the share market.
Dell reported net income of $1.01 billion, or 43 cents per share. This is an improvement over $667 million, or 26 cents per share, a year earlier in the same period. The revenues were up by 12.8 percent to $15.2 billion.
The company reported that they increased their international revenue by 10 percentage points year-to-year. This has now reached a record 43 percent of total fiscal fourth-quarter revenue. The non-US sales for the company rose 3 percentage points from the previous quarter.
