Boeing gets a $4.9 Billion worth of order from Qatar Airways

US based aircraft manufacturer Boeing has confirmed that they have received an order from the Farnborough Air Show.

The company has signed on a deal with Qatar Airways for 20 of its 777 commercial airliners. The worth of this order as per market price of the planes is around USD 4.9 billion.

Farnborough Air Show happens to be one of the world’s biggest aerospace trade shows in addition to the popular Paris Air show.

Aircraft manufacturer uses these shows to present their latest airliners and it also gives airline companies an opportunity to get discounts on deals signed during these shows.

Boeing had earlier announced that they have singed on deals with Indonesia’s Lion Air and LoadAir Cargo of Kuwait and this latest deal with Qatar would see them delivering the planes from next year.

The order includes a mix of 14 extended range 777-300ERs and 6 longer-range 777-200LRs.
