Apple Computers and some other companies recently made news when they announced their plans to close their Indian operations. However, other companies like IBM continue to gain by outsourcing jobs to the Indian market.
The company is expected to report improved profits as they are saving money by shifting jobs to India. As per incoming reports, IBM is expected to report improved second-quarter earnings.
Market analysts believe that the company gained 11 percent to $2.03 billion, or $1.29 a share, from $1.83 billion, or $1.12, a year earlier. Sales would be down considering they sold their personal computer manufacturing division to Lenovo.
The company also slashed as many as 14,500 jobs in the past 14 months and a decent percentage of their workforce is now based in India.
