Toyota recalling 420,000 vehicles globally to repair faulty engine part
World’s second largest automaker Toyota has more problems. The company has announced a recall for around 420,000 vehicles globally.
This recall includes the popular Echo and Prius models sold in the USA market. The recall is related to a faulty engine part that needs repairs.
Market analysts believe that these continues recalls puts a doubt on the company’s ability to maintain quality and standards as the sales are booming throughout their markets around the world.
The company is well set to overtake GM as the world’s top automaker in the coming years and they really cannot afford such quality issues.
The recall includes 268,570 vehicles in Japan and around 150,000 cars sold overseas. The company said in a statement that a faulty engine part could lead to an oil leak in the engine and cause it to stop. They have not received any complaints related to this fault leading to an accident.
