Motorola gains in the mobile phone market
Market estimates claim that US based mobile phone maker Motorola has been the biggest gainer in the global mobile phone market in the second quarter.
The total volume for the company has improved 26 percent to 235 million units. This data has been released by the Reuters and market analysts.
Market analyst Neil Mawston said in a statement: “The cellphone market is growing to a billion units this year. Some 461 million phones were sold in the first half.”
Motorola is already the world’s second largest seller of mobile phones and they managed to sell 53 percent more phones in the quarter. This helped them to increase their market share to around 22%. Nokia leads this market as they sell around one in every third cell phone sold in the market.
