Motorola to provide Yahoo! tools on their mobile phones
US based mobile phone maker Motorola has said that they are collaborating with internet giants Yahoo! and would be pre-installing Yahoo’s Internet search facility, e-mail and address book on its new mobile telephones.
This is expected to begin from next year and would help boost the mobile user base for Yahoo!, which faces serious competition from Google in this segment.
This deal between Motorola and Yahoo! would make ‘Yahoo Go for Mobile’ a standard feature on thousands of mobile phones manufactured and sold by Moto in the markets around the world.
Yahoo senior vice president of Connected Life, Marco Boerries spoke on this new development: “Together, Yahoo and Motorola are making it easier than ever before for consumers to seamlessly access their favorite web services, information and content across both their personal computer and mobile phone.”
