Apple Computer for support center in Karnataka
The makers of the popular Macintosh computers and the iPod range of digital music players, Apple Computers are rumored to be considering establishing a support center in the state of Karnataka.
This initiative can be pretty similar to how Dell Computers have based a similar support center in India for their customers worldwide. However, the Director of Software Technology Parks of India, Bangalore, BV Naidu declined to give out any details on any such project.
Naidu said that it is for the company to reveal if they have anything to say about any such forthcoming project. Naidu however added that at least two large American banks as well as a retail chain from the US are also looking at Karnataka for investment.
The city of Bangalore recently lost a huge project to Hyderabad, when SemIndia announced their decision to establish their upcoming chip manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh.
