Ford India doing well with the latest models
Ford Motors might be struggling in their domestic US market but they have managed to perform well in the competitive auto sector here in India.
The company has registered a sharp jump in its vehicle sales in India this year. This comes after Ford launched some exciting models in the form of Ford Fiesta.
Ford said in a filing with the US Securities Exchange Commission that they have seen continued strong year-to-date sales growth in major international markets, including a 100 per cent increase in China, and a 75 per cent increase in India.
They are also on the way of recovery in the home market of USA where they are cutting jobs and closing down loss making plants. The company’s second quarter sales and revenue dropped to 42 billion dollars in the latest quarter. Ford also reported a pre-tax loss of 797 million dollars.
Sales for the company were also down at 19.2 billion dollars from 19.9 billion dollars for the same period a year ago.
