Wireless Matrix to acquire Delphi Automotive’s MobileAria Inc.
Mobile communications specialist Wireless Matrix has confirmed that they are acquiring Delphi Automotive’s MobileAria Inc.
The deal is worth around USD 11 million and would require approval from the courts considering the parent company Delphi is currently in bankruptcy-court protection.
Wireless Matrix has already been approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York to provide the best bid for MobileAria, which is owned in majority by Delphi.
Wireless Matrix expects this deal to be complete by the end of next month. The company said in a statement on this development: “MobileAria brings to the company a proven applications platform that enables Wireless Matrix to meet the needs of enterprise-level customers with today’s solutions. As well as a highly capable applications team who are designing new applications leveraging wireless broadband networks.”
