Toyota now recalling 2,000 LEXUS RX300 in China

Japanese automaker Toyota continues to have reliability issues with their cars in various markets around the world. We are constantly hearing about new recalls from the company and the latest one is in the Chinese market.

A report released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said that the company is due to recall as many as 2,314 LEXUS RX300 in China due to some hidden safety troubles.

The affected cars were manufactured between February 10, 2003 and May 24, 2005. The report added that the problem lies in a fastener of the rug near the driver’s seat, which was not properly fixed.

If this fastener turns loose, it may affect the movement of the fuel pedal, resulting in braking problems. Toyota is expected to mail emergency notices to vehicle owners and ask them to send their cars in for repair.
