Time Inc. to stop publishing Teen People magazine
Magazine publisher Time Inc. has said in a statement that they are planning to stop publishing the Teen People magazine. This comes after they ran the magazine for around 10 years.
However, they still are going to keep the online identity of the website working which is hosted at www.teenpeople.com.
The magazine has around 50 people working in it and they are planning to spread them into other divisions of the parent company Time Warner.
This news comes at a time where newspapers and magazine industry is struggling to compete against the ever growing domination of the internet based social networks and news portals.
In fact, another magazine publisher Hachette Filipacchi Media had announced in the month of April that they would stop publishing its Elle Girl magazine for teenaged girls. They too decided to keep the online version active for the time being.
