Nippon Paint to establish bases in Gurgaon and Chennai
Nippon Paint has confirmed that they are planning to establish their bases in the Indian cities of Chennai and Gurgaon.
The company added that they expect these plants to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2008.
This would make India the 16th country to have Nippon manufacturing units. Nippon wants to have a presence in the Indian market considering it is growing at an impressive pace and there is a lot of room to grow in the near future.
Nippon Paint is planning to invest Rs 80 crore in the next two years and would initially sell only a few products from their globally available range. They are aiming at appointing 50 exclusive dealers in South India and would expand further in stages.
