Ireland people the heaviest mobile users
British regulator Ofcom has released a report which claims that the mobile users in Ireland are the heaviest users of mobile services.
The report is titled The International Communications Market report.
It further said that the mobile phones are becoming more and more crucial to people especially in emerging markets.

Vodafone acquires ZYB social network for about $50 million
Mobile service provider Vodafone has announced that they are acquiring the mobile social networking service ZYB for around USD 50 million.
Vodafone said that after the acquisition their services would be integrated into their own Internet Services Division.

T-Mobile USA adds nearly 1 million new customers in first quarter of 2008
US based mobile service provider T-Mobile USA has revealed that they added around 981,000 customers in the first quarter.
The company also completed the acquisition of SunCom Wireless which added another 1.1 million subscribers.

Egypt bans anonymous mobile connections
Egypt has become the latest nation to ban mobile connections in no names.
The country now requires every connection to be registered with a name and address.
Trade Minister Rachid Mohamed Rachid said in a statement: “Everyone who uses the telephone must be known.”
